Central Orange County is a great place to live, work and play. And planning for its transportation future is very important.
As the county's transportation planning agency, OCTA is currently studying ways to improve the future transportation network in central Orange County, a process known as the Central County Corridor Major Investment Study (CCCMIS). This process includes evaluating a number of street, freeway and transit improvement concepts for:
• anticipated ability to relieve traffic
• potential impact on the community
As part of the study process, OCTA has been meeting with policy-makers, technical experts and community leaders. Ultimately, the OCTA Board of Directors will select what is called a locally-preferred strategy (LPS), which may serve as a guide for future improvements.
