American Foundation for the Blind - Video Description Survey
Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete this survey concerning your experiences with video description on television. As you may know, since July 1, 2012, America's leading broadcast and cable television channels have each been required by law to provide at least 50 hours of primetime or children's programming with description in every calendar quarter, approximately four hours per week per channel. Description is oral narration of on-screen visual elements and actions spoken during natural pauses in program dialogue. By responding to this survey, you will help AFB as we work to better understand how well the major broadcast and cable networks are complying with the law, how successfully consumers are identifying and accessing described programming, and which shows currently on television consumers are enjoying with description and/or would like to have described.
This survey should only take about 5 minutes of your time. Your answers will be completely anonymous. All survey results will be published by AFB, look for them soon.
