NY State of Health is the state's official health plan marketplace. The next open enrollment period for individuals and families to apply for coverage begins on November 1, 2015 and lasts until January 31, 2016. During this time, your patrons may have questions about the marketplace and how to enroll into coverage. We want to provide you with up-to-date information and resources so that you can provide helpful answers to your patrons.

* 2. There are several ways your library can serve as a resource to your community. Please choose the activities you would like to participate in.

Display print materials (posters, fact sheets, rack cards). These would arrive to you around November 15th.

Host a community meeting featuring a speaker from NY State of Health (leading up to or during Open Enrollment)

Set up an enrollment event at your library branch where patrons are invited to meet one-on-one with an enroller to complete an application for coverage (conducted during Open Enrollment: November 15 - February 15)

If you are interested in hosting a community meeting or an enrollment event, someone from NY State of Health will be in touch with you to arrange the details and facilitate the participation of a local speaker and/or enroller. Events should take place leading up to the launch of Open Enrollment on November 15th and continue through January so that NY'ers have enough time to enroll before the February 15th deadline.
