Research Ethics Survey
Research Ethics practices and training in applied linguistics research
Introduction and explanation of the study: We are faculty members and graduate students within the Second Language Studies program at Michigan State University. We are interested in the beliefs and practices of researchers in applied linguistics in regards to research ethics. The following survey consists of four parts 1) a background questionnaire, 2) a series of scenarios in which you judge the ethicalness of, 3) questions about your training and beliefs in research ethics, and 4) an open-ended question.
Time: This survey consists of forced choice questions and optional open-ended questions. If you just complete the forced choice questions, it should take you around 15-20 minutes. Of course, it will take longer if you respond to the optional open-ended questions.
Please note that your responses are anonymous and will only be used for research purposes. That is, no names or identifying information will be collected. When data is presented or published, no names or identifying information will be used.
