The Friends of the Wissahickon are conducting a one-year My Park Counts program of research beginning in late July 2011 and extending through March 2012. One important part of this research is an online survey. The My Park Counts online usership survey was developed in cooperation with the Friends of the Wissahickon, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Atlantic Social Research Corporation (Allentown, PA) to determine seasonal and annual park usership counts, patterns of behavior among different park users, and attitudes and perceptions among local and non-local visitors to the park. As Maura McCarthy, Friends of the Wissahickon Executive Director, explains, "The information we collect will help the Friends of the Wissahickon secure funding for our projects, determine how to allocate resources, and help us to enhance park user experience."
You are invited to participate in this important research project because you are a Wissahickon Valley Park user. Your participation is voluntary. You may choose not to participate. If you decide to participate, you may withdraw at any time. Once you complete this survey, you will be entered into a drawing that will take place in late spring 2012 for a free IPAD and one of ten free annual FOW memberships (includes choice of t-shirt or hat).
