Sphinx Orchestral Partner Auditions (formerly SAQA) will provide musicians of color with the unique opportunity to play an audition for a panel representing several orchestras. The immediate aim of the experience is to identify musicians for invitation to auditions, pre-advancement at auditions and/or placement on substitute player lists. An additional immediate aim is to align participating musicians with needed support. The ultimate goal of this initiative is job placement for musicians of color in American orchestras.

Jan. 15: Participating orchestras announced
Jan. 31, 2018: SOPA in Detroit
 
Thanks to generous funding support from Bank of America, musicians participating in the SOPA program will be recognized as Bank of America Fellows.
