Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Backline and supporting people across the spectrum of decisions and experiences with pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption! Our next Talkline Advocate training will take mid-September 2015 in Bloomington, IN and every February in Portland, OR.

* 2. Trainings are held twice yearly in Bloomington, IN (April and September) and yearly in Portland, OR (February). Volunteers who successfully complete a training are expected to participate in their local group for at least one year. Let us know which Talkline Advocate team you are interested in joining - and if you want us to consider another area, please tell us!

* 9. Peer Counseling Advocates are required to volunteer at least 15 hrs per month on the Talkline or All-Options in Bloomington. Current Talkline hours are Monday-Friday 10am-1am EST and Sat-Sun 10a-6pm EST. Please tell us the general days or times you are available, and how this volunteer commitment would fit into your life and schedule.

* 11. The next Talkline Advocate Training will begin in early Fall 2015 in Bloomington, IN. Future Portland and Oakland training dates will be announced as they become available. Generally speaking, if accepted to the program, could you commit to attending a 40 hour training over a 1 month period (4 Weds evenings and 4 Saturday days), and regular monthly meetings taking place the first Saturday of every month?
