Local recovery planning presents an opportunity for mana whenua to exercise kaitiakitanga and tikanga as it relates to addressing the impacts of 2023 weather events and responding to our changing climate.
To support and deliver on the needs and priorities of local communities, Māori and mana whenua wherever they are at in their readiness, recovery, adaptation or resilience journey through the development of local recovery plans.
