Please note that this is a sample form so that you can see the information that will be gathered on the Financial Aid Application Form.  Please do not enter information on this form.  Information entered on this form will be not be received or processed.

Research students who will not have completed their PhD’s by the start of the Research School and who would otherwise be unable to attend can apply for financial aid by completing the form below. 

The LMS and CMI can offer financial aid in the form of partial or full reduction of the fee and/or partial or full reimbursement of actual travel expenses in either GBP or USD.

When completing the application form, you will be asked to state your costs and your request to the LMS and CMI in either GBP or USD.  Please use the exchange rate applicable at the time of submission of this form.

Reimbursement for travel costs will be for actual expenditure, up to a stated maximum. Cost should be calculated in the chosen currency, using the exchange rates applicable at the time when the claim is submitted. Travel must be by the cheapest practical means.

Should your application for funding be successful, you will be reimbursed for travel expenses in the the currency you have chosen, using exchange rates in place at the time when the reimbursement is made.  Please note all reimbursements will be made after the LMS-CMI Research School and all claims must be accompanied by receipts.

If the financial support from the LMS-CMI partnership covers only a proportion of the fee then the balance must be paid in GBP, whichever choice of currency you make.

Before you complete this application form, you must have been offered place at the LMS-CMI Research School.
