Thank you for your interest in applying for a Ma'alot grant for Israel education and advocacy. Please review the guidelines below before completing the grant application.
Ma'alot grants for Israel education and advocacy are made possible by the partnership of United Synagogue's Israel Commission and Nefesh b'Nefesh. Grants are to be used for direct program costs related to engagement opportunities, Israel advocacy, pre- or post-Israel travel programs, community events, lectures or forums. Preference will be given towards selecting high quality, high impact projects that connect your members with any organized Israel travel or study experience, such as a congregational trip to Israel, Nativ, USY Pilgrimage, Taglit-Birthright Israel, a Jewish Federation mission or Nefesh b’Nefesh. Programming that includes the participation by youth of your kehilla or the youth of your USY Region is highly encouraged. Think out of the box and create a program by planning together with your USY’ers.
This grant cycle is for programs that will take place after July 1, 2014. Grant recipients will be required to participate in the collection of participant feedback and evaluation data as provided by United Synagogue's Israel Committee and Nefesh B'Nefesh.
