Program Description
The mission of an Elections Ambassador is to engage the community during High School Voter Education Weeks.
Ambassadors create individual outreach plans with three goals in mind:
1) Register future voters and pre-register eligible youth (16 - 17 years old)
2) Promote awareness of Voter Education Weeks in your schools and on social media
3) Encourage civic engagement among San Francisco youth

Why Serve as a High School Elections Ambassador?
· Distinguished community service hours to include on your college applications
· Receive a participation certificate signed by the Mayor of San Francisco
· Gain valuable community outreach experience with the San Francisco Elections Department

Program Requirements
· Must be a San Francisco high school student during Spring 2026
· Attend a mandatory in-person training workshop – April 2, 2026, 4:30pm – 6pm
· Prepare an outreach activity plan
· Conduct at least three voter outreach events – April 13 - 24, 2026
· Draft a two-page report summarizing your Elections Ambassador service
