ICE BIM Heat Map Questionnaire 2015

Dear colleague,

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a structured process of managing information before, during and after the construction of built assets. There seems to be an increasing awareness and implementation of BIM in today’s construction industry. Better understanding will be enabled through work to map and measure current knowledge of BIM, and possible gaps. ICE are committed to addressing this and once more, following on from the ICE BIM Heat Map 2014, we are asking you to partake in this much-valued survey. Not only to see the awareness of BIM across the sectors today but to be able to see if things have changed since last year. And if so, where? This work is important in showing strengths and weaknesses of current practice in relation to the government agenda. The survey asks questions about levels of BIM awareness, benefits appreciation, implementation patterns, support requirements and impacts on knowledge sharing across different built environments. It is anticipated that the ICE will revisit this survey annually.
