Thank you for your interest in joining the NYU-Poly Student Council’s Mentorship Program!
The NYU-Poly Mentorship Program is a leadership development program composed of a diverse group of students who are self-motivated, diligent, and academically focused. Mentors are dynamic students who are responsible for facilitating the growth and progression of their Mentees on a social, academic, and transitional level. Mentors are encouraged to assist their Mentees with specific issues revolving around life on campus. Mentors act as role models, providing support and connecting their Mentees to student resources.
Mentees, first year NYU-Poly students, will be paired with one NYU-Poly Mentor. The pair will engage in out-of-classroom learning experiences and attend various campus activities that are executed and administered by the Office of Student Activities and Resource Center as well as partner offices within the Institution. Mentees will have special access to the NYU-Poly community, and will interact with various areas related to academic success, community development, multiculturalism, and health & wellness through bi-weekly group meeting sessions, cultural outings, and various workshop opportunities.
To join and participate in this great program for the spring 2013 semester, please register below. We will follow up with the time and location of the first meeting and introduce you to your Mentor via email at the start of classes!
