SIFF is looking for young adult film lovers with great ideas for film events and programming they want to see put into action. The SIFF Youth Film Committee is intended for young adults ages 15-20 with an interest in the Seattle film community. We expect the committee to be comprised of approximately 15 young adults who are representative of the Seattle Metro area.
What does the committee do?
As a member of the Youth Film Committee, you will help to organize (programming, event planning, and marketing) interesting and exciting film events for teens and young adults with SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival (May 19-June 12, 2011), SIFF Cinema, and the upcoming SIFF Film Center).
What is the benefit of serving on the Youth Film Committee?
Besides actively enhancing the offerings for young adults in the film community, members of the Committee will receive a complimentary SIFF FutureWave Membership (one year) and a Full Series Pass to the 2011 Seattle International Film Festival.
How much time is involved and when does it meet?
Youth Film Committee Members should expect approximately 8-10 hours a month of work (November through June) related to Youth Film Committee initiatives. The SIFF Youth Committee meets monthly on Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00pm. Currently, meetings are set on November 7, December 5, January 9, February 6, March 6, April 3, May 8, and June 19 (post Seattle International Film Festival). Please check your calendars for conflicts as your attendance at these meetings is extremely important. Meetings will be held at a centralized Seattle location to be determined.
