Our Green World: Project Overview

Question Title

Image
BYEP, the Bristol based youth empowerment organisation wants to work with members of the community and our young people to capture green and sustainable cultural and tradition practices from black and ethnic minority communities. The information collated after the research will be available online, and in a form of a booklet for access.

BYEP wants to promote cultural awareness by giving people the chance to research their culture heritage. The project also seeks to document alternative ways of living, which are cheaper, simpler and relatively healthier for wider social use. 'Green’ or ‘sustainable practices’ in this case are loose terms used to describe all products and practices that are relatively friendly on our natural resources and the environment.

There are only three (3) questions to this questionnaire and we will like to know as many product/practices, as possible that can be defined to be organic, green, sustainable and/or eco-friendly, by indicating;
- the region (Africa, Asia, Caribbean or Other), and if possible country/tribe, that the product/practice is from
- how the product/practice is used in an organic, sustainable, eco-friendly or 'green' way
- how the product/practice benefit us as individuals or a society e.g. mind, body and/or place
