The theme of the May 15 GTKE Forum is "Technology and Innovation" and its importance for transatlantic business profitability and success, particularly as supported by burgeoning exchanges of intellectual property and R&D. Latest available statistics show that in 2010 U.S. affiliates invested nearly $ 24.4 billion in R&D in Europe or about 62 percent of the nation's total global expenditures Conversely, in the U.S. R&D spending by European affiliates rose over $ 1 billion year-over-year to $ 31.3 billion and accounted for 75 % of total such expenditures from all majority owned foreign affiliates in America. Our keynote speaker will be Stephen Ezell of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, and there will be ample time for networking. Breakfast, refreshments and lunch will be provided, and the event is free of charge. If you have questions, please contact EACCNJ President Camille Sailer, Esq., at firstname.lastname@example.org.
