A Rewarding Career: What do UK journalists get paid?
These have been bruising times for the media industry – for those who have been laid off, yes, but also for those who have stayed on.
Researchers at the School of Journalism, Media and Communication at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston surveying journalists to find out how you are being rewarded for your efforts.
We would appreciate it if you would complete the following questionnaire because your participation is important to the validity of the study.
Please be assured that your individual responses will remain anonymous and will only be reported as part of the group results. However, if you would like a summary of the survey findings, you can include your contact details at the end of the survey.
Your participation is voluntary and you may refuse to answer any question. The survey only takes about 10 minutes to complete. By completing the survey, you indicate your consent to participate in the study.
Some of the items may appear to be redundant or to have very similar meaning but please go ahead and respond to each individual item.
If you have questions, or comments about the study, please contact the study leader François Nel at +44 (0)1772 894730, FPNel@uclan.ac.uk or @francoisnel .
And, of course, if you could pass this link along to other journalists, that would be very much appreciated.
