As a language tester for ACTFL, you will become trained as a tester for the ACTFL oral proficiency interview (commonly called the “OPI”). These tests are delivered via telephone, and they test for oral language proficiency – spoken proficiency – only. They do not assess written or reading proficiency in a language.
Having certification as an OPI tester is a highly recognized credential in the language industry. In addition to having the opportunity to work for ACTFL as a tester, if you meet all the requirements and complete the certification process, you will hold a certification as a language tester.
