Thank you for your interest in presenting at the International Reading Association (IRA) 58th Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX April 19-22, 2013.
The Adult Education and Family Literacy Special Interest Group (AEFL-SIG) advocates improved literacy and language education for adults and their families, by disseminating relevant research and practice information regarding educational program development and instruction to Adult Education and Family Literacy practitioners.
The purpose of the panel presentation is to provide a forum for sharing information about specific areas of interest among reading and literacy professionals.
For 2013, the AEFL-SIG panel presentation would like to focus on the utilization of Social Media in Adult Education, Family Literacy and/or ESOL programs.
Social Media is defined as “web-based and mobile based technologies which are used to turn communication into interactive dialogue among organizations, communities, and individuals” (Retrieved Thursday, July 12, 2012, from Wikipedia, located at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_media).
The deadline for submitting your proposals for IRA’s 58th Annual Convention is Thursday, August 2, 2012 (11:59 p.m. E.S.T).
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to reading your proposals.
