Phoenix Centre, Townhill
The proposed design for Townhill’s skatepark, below, has different styles of ramps in a flowing layout. A mixture of mellow and steeper banks, and a wide quarterpipe, wrap around a well-featured centrepiece with hubbas and a rainbow rail. The new features are in coloured and plain concrete, surrounded by a smooth tarmac apron to give extra useable space. The design also includes large platforms with leaning rails to give plenty of space for multiple users and visible social space.

Mynydd Newydd, Penlan
Design proposals for Mynydd Newydd skatepark are to give Swansea its first streetstyle skatepark. Making use of the existing lengthy tarmac slab, the designers have stretched out a line of A-frames, level changes, rails and hubbas along the site, with banks and quaterpipes at each end to keep the park flowing. The park is built in concrete with coloured accents in copper red and green, matching the other neighbourhood skateparks, surrounded by a smooth tarmac apron to expand useable area. Everything is designed to sit below eye level to keep the park feeling as welcoming as possible.

Coed Bach, Pontarddulais
Proposals for Coed Bach include the addition of this small ramp complex in multi-coloured concrete. There are two different heights of ramp, back-to-back, with a connecting roller feature. The ramps can be ridden separately or combined together at less busy times. The heights are kept low to welcome beginners and maintain clear sight lines across the facility. Future developments may include refurbishment of the adjacent mini-bike track, landscaping and the removal of the enclosed shelter.
