PledgeMusic Survey
To establish how many UK artists were affected by the demise of PledgeMusic and to what extent.
The following music industry organisations have come together to assess the damage caused by the collapse of PledgeMusic. We have put together this survey in order to find out how many artists in the UK have lost money and what the impact has been for them.
UK Music, Music Managers Forum, Musicians' Union, Association of Independent Music, Help Musicians UK, PRS Foundation and International Showcase Fund partners including British Underground, PRS Members' Fund, Music Producers Guild, The Ivors Academy, Featured Artists Coalition, Music Support and the BPI.
Please note: the closing date of this survey is 12pm on 25th June 2019
Some of the questions are optional but please give us as much information as you can so we can build a full picture of the impact of PledgeMusic folding.
Thank you for taking the time to contribute.
How your data will be used:
Anonymised, overall statistics of the survey may be shared widely to inform the UK Music Industry and Government of the impact of the PledgeMusic closure.
Full data including names of artists, business partners and individual sums owed will only be accessible by nominated members of staff at each of the organisations listed above (who will keep it confidential). Please indicate whether or not you consent to your data being shared in this way below. The data collected via this survey will only be kept for a maximum of twelve months.
If you have any concerns or questions about how your data will be used, please contact Naomi Pohl, Deputy General Secretary, Musicians’ Union at naomi.pohl@theMU.org
One or more of the organisations listed above may wish to contact you to follow up on the information you provide. If you would rather not be contacted, please indicate below. You/the artist you represent must be based in the UK to complete this survey.
