Exit this survey Equity-extension of PRISMA Survey Equity-extension of PRISMA – Proposed additional items or extensions of existing items for equity-oriented systematic reviews We endorse the reasons behind PRISMA which was developed to improve the reporting of systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Systematic reviews have been called for to compile the evidence on how to reduce health inequities. Health inequities are differences in health which are both avoidable and considered unfair or unjust. Average effects may hide important differences, between the mean and the effectiveness of interventions in the poor and other disadvantaged groups so practitioners, policy makers and the public area need to be able to assess both. For more information, please check our blogs at Speaking of Medicine (PLOS) and BMJ. The survey will remain open until January 5th, 2012. w 0 Next
