The NAESP National Outstanding Assistant Principal (NOAP) award honors assistant principals in elementary and middle schools who make stellar contributions to their students and school community. Each year, ASA selects an Outstanding Assistant Principal who then is eligible for nomination to the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) NOAP program.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be an active member of ASA and a member of NAESP for at least one year at the time of nomination and must maintain membership through the conclusion of the award year.
2. Must be an active assistant principal for at least two years.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Nominees are judged on the following criteria:
1. Leadership for Learning - successfully meeting the needs of students
2. Communication - strength in personal & organizational communication
3. Professionalism - improvement of knowledge and skills while providing professional development and motivation to others
4. Community Involvement - active participation in local community

Applications must be received by ASA by October 15th.
