2025-2029 Consolidated Plan Community Needs
The City of Fort Myers receives funding annually from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The program helps support affordable housing and community development needs. All program activities must meet at least one of three National Objectives outlined by HUD below:
1. Benefit low- and moderate-income (LMI) persons.
2. Aid in the prevention or elimination of slum or blight; and
3. Meet a need having a particular urgency, commonly referred to as an urgent need.

The Five-Year Consolidated Plan describes the needs of the community and how those needs will be met using CDBG funds to complement other federal, state, or local funding over the next five years. The Annual Action Plan is prepared for each program year and includes information about the overall goals and objectives for the coming year, as well as a description of the available resources and proposed actions to address identified needs.
The Community Survey will be open for responses until April 30, 2025.
