ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
-BScN preferred.
-Current BCLS certification.
-Minimum 3 years Emergency experience.
-Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Education and experience with triage
-IV certification.
-Certification in delegated medical acts specific for Emergency Nursing.
-Cardiac module of Critical Care Course or equivalent required, within past five (5) years.
-Certification in ACLS.
-Certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Care Course)
-PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
-Health teaching skills that demonstrate a broad knowledge of Adult and Paediatric Emergency Care.
-Non violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Training
-Demonstrated problem solving skills, communication skills and critical thinking skills.
-Member of RNAO preferred
-Satisfactory attendance.
