Name of Researcher: Ms. Adrienne Ogg
Contact details: adrienne.ogg@ucdconnect.ie
Institution: University College Dublin
Researcher's school: Sutherland School of Law, Criminology Department

Title of Research: Federal Correctional Officer Training: Trainer vs. Trainee Perspectives
Research Procedures: This survey is suited to Federal Correctional Officers in Canada, the United States, and the Scandinavian countries, and will take approximately 8 minutes to complete.
Purpose of Research: I am researching and comparing Federal Correctional Officer training programs across different jurisdictions and surveying Federal CO's on their experiences and attitudes towards the training they received in an attempt to compare and contrast the best training practices.
Potential Benefits of the Study: Your contribution to my study will provide data and knowledge to an under-researched area of Correctional Officer training. Research in this field can enhance the training practices and policies put in place by training schools and governmental bodies who oversee training programs. In turn, a better training program will better prepare recruits for their careers and complex roles on the landing; decreasing job stress and burnout rates, while increasing job satisfaction and overall quality of life.

Participation in this study is voluntary, anonymous, and confidential. Should you chose to revoke your consent at any point during the survey, simply press the 'Exit' link and the survey will end without saving the responses of the current page. Any incomplete surveys will be disregarded.
Due to the anonymity of the survey, it will be impossible to trace any data back to the participants, making the study completely confidential.
