Parent Representatives Election

Lesmurdie SHS Election
Parent Representatives on School Board 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

It has been decided to re-run the election process for parent representatives on our school board. With the impact of COVID restrictions last week, parents may not have been in a position to vote. The parent return on the voting was also low, which is unusual for Lesmurdie parents/carers and we need a much greater return to ensure that this process represents the view of as many parents as possible.

Each registered parent or carer with current students attending our school is eligible to vote in the Board Election for Parent Representatives.

The School Board provides an important governance role in our school. All members play an important role in strategic planning, reviewing resource alignment to priorities, reviewing policy and providing advice to the Principal. I thank the parents who have nominated themselves for election. Irrespective of the outcome of the election, it is appreciated by council /board that these parents / staff have nominated and volunteered their time and expertise to our school.

Information on each of the candidates is available here:

https://www.lesmurdie.wa.edu.au/information/school-board/

There are eight (8) nominations for six (6) positions on the Board. Please vote for six Parent Representatives for the Lesmurdie Senior High School Board.

Voting is anonymous and names or other means of identification are not kept.

Voting closes Monday 10 May.

Kind regards,

Kerry Chipchase
Principal
