Wisconsin PFAS Private Well Testing (WisPPWT)

The Wisconsin PFAS Private Well Testing (WisPPWT) program provides sampling assistance to eligible private well owners and users by providing them with a home sampling kit at no cost. Private well owners and users must answer a series of questions to determine if their well is eligible for testing. Once the well owners have answered the questions, they will be determined to be conditionally eligible or not eligible.

Conditionally eligible means additional information must be provided. The DNR will review conditionally-eligible applications to determine if the well can be tested under WisPPWT.

If determined to be not eligible, the well cannot be sampled under WisPPWT. The well may be eligible for sampling under one of the other types of well sampling programs authorized by Acts 200 and 201.
