Award Purpose/Goals
Through the “Women Leading in Excellence Award Program”, Arizona Women Leading Government (AZ WLG) aims to recognize an individual who is committed to the advancement of women into leadership positions within local government in Arizona.
This includes leading by example, mentoring, and expanding the boundaries of women’s contributions within the public sector.
Nomination Criteria
Who is eligible for nomination?
Any active AZ WLG member employed by a governmental agency or affiliated organization
is eligible.
Note: Current AZ WLG Board Members are not eligible to receive this award.
Who may nominate?
Anyone who works with an eligible nominee can nominate a deserving woman for this
award.
Award
The award recipient will be recognized during the AZ WLG 2025 Conference, presented with an award, and provided with complimentary registration to the conference as well as up to $500 in travel reimbursement.
