Outstanding Member of the Year - Margaret Whiteford Award

Do you know a member of the Scottish Women’s Institutes (SWI) who truly stands out? Someone whose passion, dedication, and commitment go above and beyond - making a real difference within their Institute, Federation, or community?

This award celebrates those exceptional individuals who embody the spirit and values of the SWI. If you know a member who deserves recognition for their outstanding contribution this year, we invite you to submit a nomination and help us honour their achievements.

Important information:
  • This award is open any current SWI member to nominate another current member.
  • The Judging Committee will be made up of the National President, National Vice President and Board of Trustees.
  • Your acceptance of the final judging decision is a condition of being the nominee.
  • All nominations are considered confidential. Your personal information here will not be shared beyond the judging committee nor used for any purpose other than to follow-up with you regarding your nomination if required.
  • Nominations from individual members or a collective group of members will be accepted.
  • The winning nominee will be announced at the SWI Members' Gathering on Friday 11th September 2026 at the Apex Hotel, Dundee.
