Who?

 This training is free and available to ECEAP contractors. ECEAP lead teachers and ECEAP assistant teachers are encouraged to register. Priority registrations to ECEAP contractor staff in the in the curriculum pilot study.

 What?

Participants will:

•         Recognize how the research-based objectives for development and learning include the knowledge, skills, and behaviors that are most predictive of school success.

•         Examine the three aspects of an effective learning environment.

•         Plan specific strategies and responses that support children’s behavior and self-regulation skills.

•         Develop strategies to integrate content learning into daily instructional experiences.

•         Use the “Preparing for the First Few Days of School” checklist and The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool Teaching Guide: Beginning the Year.

What to bring?

Participants need to bring the Creative Curriculum® Volumes 1-5 from the 5th edition kits or Volumes 1-6 from the 6th edition kits.
 
If you are applying for college credits with Centralia College, please bring a check or money order for $18.00 to the training. The trainer cannot accept cash payments.

Registration:
Registration must be received two weeks before the training.
This training is free of charge, except that no-shows will be required to pay the cost of their space, $150, from non-ECEAP funds.
You will receive an email confirming your registration which will include information about parking and directions to the training location.

Travel reimbursement:
CQEL is able to reimburse travel for teachers/staff in pilot programs.  Before you attend the training, email Melissa Brown at mbrown26@uw.edu with your request for travel reimbursement.  In your email include your home address, the name and date of the training, and the address for the training.   You are eligible for reimbursement if you are traveling 60+ miles to the training and if you attend the full training.  You still must request reimbursement AND receive email confirmation before the training to receive reimbursement.   Requests must be received two weeks prior to the start date of the training. 

Meals are not provided.
 

No-show policy:
I understand that the Department of Early Learning (DEL) is paying my fee for this training. If I am unable to attend, I will make every effort to secure a substitute from my program or from the DEL waiting list. If there is no substitute, I agree to pay the “no show” fee of $150 from non-ECEAP funds.

I acknowledge that my director/supervisor is aware of this no-show policy.
