Numerous publications to date have identified an unmet need relating to cancer supportive care services.  In one publication, 70% of healthcare professionals were aware of support service availability; however < 60 % of those surveyed recommended the resources due to a lack of time and belief that they were beneficial.  HOPA’s Patient Outreach Committee would like to learn more about our membership’s knowledge of patient advocacy resources and how they use these resources in their day –to-day practice.  Additionally, we would like to identify resource gaps or barriers that may prevent one from using patient advocacy resources.  Please click the following link to complete a short survey.  Data collected will be used to develop future programs, resources, and partnerships with HOPA and other patient advocacy organizations and may lead to future publications.
