This is an application to be considered to participate in the 2023 Oregon Health Care Association FREE DEI Leadership Intensive Training, June 7-8, 2023. As space is limited; this simple and quick application is to ensure commitment to advancing DEI in long term care. During this two-day in-person training, participants will work with professional DEI consultants and facilitators to devise individual action and sustainability plans to address the future of DEI in each participant’s community.

  • Oregon-licensed NF, SNF, ALF, RCF, independent living, and in-home care agencies
  • Administrators and administrators in training
  • Department heads
  • Regional directors and operations
  • Nurse leaders
  • Owners and executive team members
  • Home office team members

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize how DEI interacts within the context of their organization
  • Formulate a vision of the environment leaders want to create for employees and residents
  • Examine the most effective strategies to promote equity within their organization
  • Recognize diversity, equity, and inclusion work is an ongoing, non-linear process and explore processes for sustainability
  • Conduct DEI assessment processes within the organization and facility
  • Develop a comprehensive DEI strategic plan to improve cultural competence and trauma-informed care within the organization
  • Develop diverse leadership pipelines
