The Delta Dental of Colorado Basic Needs Program is led by DDCO’s Community Impact team with the goal of supporting 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Colorado with in-kind donations of oral healthcare products.

In-kind donation support is provided throughout the year. Organizations can submit an interest form directly from our website. Oral health donations include adult toothbrushes, children’s toothbrushes, and toothpaste tablets (for adults only).

Eligibility and Support Guidelines

  • We donate to registered US 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve Coloradans. Preference is given to applicants who are able to demonstrate a verified nonprofit status.
  • Donations must be designated to nonprofit program support that aligns with Delta Dental of Colorado’s Giving Pillar, Basic Needs.
  • DDCO considers requests from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with missions that support underserved and underrepresented communities in the areas of:
    • Addressing hunger and food insecurity
    • Providing safe spaces through housing and shelter initiatives
    • Supporting paths to self-sufficiency through workforce development, job readiness, or independent living
    • Provide basic needs services such as shelter, food, clean clothes, laundry services, showers, and other hygiene needs for community members in need
    • Newcomer services
    • Organization and/or program are encouraged to include an oral health component and/or nutrition and health components

Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, it is not possible to fulfill every request.

We do not donate to:
  • Individuals
  • Political candidates or organizations
  • For-profit businesses
  • Organizations that discriminate toward any racial, ethnic or cultural group
  • Schools
