Grades PreK-5 Mathematics Parent Survey

Dear Families,

A committee of Melrose Public Schools educators has been meeting throughout the past two years to review the Mathematics program in grades PreK-12. The purpose of the review is to document current practices in our math program, especially curriculum, instruction, and assessment. In addition, the committee will develop an action plan based upon the findings to support improvement in math instruction in Melrose. In the spring of 2018, the committee will present a final report to the school administration. The committee has collected student work, materials, assessments, and curriculum documents. They are surveying both teachers and students and seek input from families to add another perspective to the review.

This parent survey asks for your input about the math program. The survey is completely anonymous and will be used by the committee in conjunction with other data to help inform the review. If you are the parent of more than one student, please fill out this survey for each child.

Thank you for your time and consideration in completing the survey.

Sincerely,
Margaret Adams Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning
Laurie Greenwood, Director of STEM, Grades 6-12
