1. Welcome to the IBW Book Award 2012
Here is the longlist of submitted titles for the IBW Book Award 2012.
We now need you to vote on these lists to create the shortlists – it’s really important that we have votes in from as many IBW booksellers as possible so that we have as wide a range of bookseller opinion as possible.
The lists are divided into Adult and Children’s. Please rate each title with a score from 0 to 5, depending on how much you like it and think it should be on the two shortlists.
Bear in mind that the titles on the shortlist should be 1. independent-oriented 2. unlikely to appear in other major channel promotions (publishers have undertaken this) 3. well balanced as a shortlist 4. mixture of big houses and independent publishers 5. promotable in-store 6. by authors you would like to see in IBW events in bookshops.
