Thank you for applying to present at MACC's 2024 Annual Conference. This year's theme is "Transforming care, Transforming lives". 

We are seeking presentations on innovative and novel approaches to support professional development of Behavioral Health Practices in the areas of:
·         Advocacy
·         Cultural Competence and Racial Equity as relates to multiple populations i.e., African American, Latinx, LGBTQIA; Asian American Pacific Islander; Indigenous People; Africans; refugee/immigrants; various faith denominations (Islam; Judaism; Christian); Differently Abled
·        Implicit Bias
·        Healing Centered Engagement
·        Ethics *can be up to 3 hours*
·        Culturally Relevant Supervision
·        Cultural Competence and Behavioral Health
·        Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Mental Health
·        Community and Family Support
·        Stigma Reduction
·        Intersectionality
·        Culturally Tailored Interventions
·        Policy and Advocacy
·        Research and Data
·        Holistic Wellness
·        Trauma-Informed Care
·        Supervision *can be up to 3 hours*
·        Workforce Development/ Retention
Speakers will present workshop sessions lasting one hour except for supervision and ethics, which can be up to three hours. This time does not include welcomes, Q&A, or surveys.
 
Submitting presenters are asked to hold availability for Wednesday, May 22, 2024, between 8:30 AM-4:30 PM to ensure your availability, as final scheduling will be posted on February 12th. All presenters are expected to be in person.

Know before you apply:
1. Our audience is comprised of practitioners from the behavioral health, physical health, non-profit, corporate, legal, community, and faith sectors.

2. There are a total of 12 workshop sessions with a maximum audience size of 350-500.

3. We will be applying for CEUs and CLEs from the following Boards:

·        Ohio Board of Nursing

·        Social Work, Counseling MFT Board

·        Psychology Board

·        Chemical Dependency Professionals Board

·        Supreme Court of Ohio

4. Your topic, bio, and headshot will be promoted through MACC, OMHAS, partnering organizations, email campaigns, website, social media, and conference agenda.

5. Each workshop session will be recorded, and recordings may be distributed by MACC as future educational material and marketing promotion. Please do not present any materials that you do not have authorization to share.

6. Your application will be reviewed by a selection committee, and a committee member may contact you with further questions.

7. All requested documentation and draft presentation must be uploaded to https://maccinc.egnyte.com/ul/UueuswAcZW by January 30, 2024. If selected, there will be an opportunity to edit your presentation and provide an updated file prior to presenting at the conference workshop session.

8. You must have access to a computing device with a web camera, speakers, and Microsoft PowerPoint with closed caption functionality.
