2026 AUCKLAND WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL

This Expression of Interest form will not only help curate the festival but help us with the Festival plan, work on the logistics for the event, identify media stories, create the information boards for each vessel, help us understand who is attending and send an invitation for the Welcome Function among many other things to help make the Festival a success for all involved.

Completing this form does not guarantee confirmation of acceptance. Due to the high level of interest, we work with a selection panel made up of experienced, independent classic boat enthusiasts who will assess each application.

This process supports the festival team to ensure the festival is a celebration of the boats, their custodians, the skilled craftsman, sailors and enthusiasts who laid the foundation of New Zealand’s maritime tradition, and the generations that followed them.

Once the Selection Panel has reviewed your expression of interest, you will be notified of the offer to participate in the festival or, you will be invited to join a wait-list.

Applications close on Monday 12 January 2026 at 12pm.

NEXT STEPS

You will be notified, if you have been offered a berth, OR, offered a wait-list position in late January 2026.


The Selection Panel will review each application and has many factors to consider before they can reach a decision on the combination of boats to represent at the festival.
