AFFILIATES COMMITTEE
The Affiliates Committee is open to all Affiliate Members to attend and is made up of a Chari, Chair-elect, and thirteen at-large Affiliate members to represent the interests of the Affiliate members who are not engaged in the real estate profession, but who have interests requiring information concerning real estate and work in unison with the objectives of the Association.
DIVERSITY COMMITTEE
The Diversity Committee works to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within TPCAR's membership and the communities we serve by creating partnership with diverse organizations in the community who support the inclusion of all home buyers and sellers.
FINANCE COMMITTEE*
The Finance Committee is responsible for oversight of Association finances and submitting budget recommendations for the Association to ensure accurate tracking/monitoring/accountability for funds, and adequate financial controls.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
The Government Affairs Committee advocates on behalf of members and their clients and advises and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters of advocacy policy that require Board approval, to include developing and periodically update Position Statements on various government-related issues. The Government Affairs Committee encourages participation among the membership in grassroots political activity, to monitor local legislation, regulatory and legal issues affecting the real estate industry, and promotes the professional services provided by REALTOR®s and TPCAR, and oversees the activities of the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC).
GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE*
The Grievance Committee acts as a reviewing body for complaints turned into the Association to determine whether to dismiss or send forward to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing. Committee members are required to take Professional Standards Training every two years.
MEMBER SERVICES COMMITTEE
The Member Services Committee initiates, directs, and monitors performance in areas of membership development, member relations, community relations, and community service activities and to coordinate those activities with the TPCAR leadership, committees and staff. Work may cover the following activities: TPCAR Awards, New Member Orientation, General Membership meetings, and other activities that involve building member services.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS COMMITTEE*
The Professional Standards Committee is responsible as the Judicial Body of the Association. Conducts due process hearings in accordance with Bylaws on alleged violations of the Code of Ethics and Arbitration, Bylaws, and Articles of Incorporation. Committee members are required to take Professional Standards Training every two years.
