The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) and Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) are accepting proposals for the Seventh Annual Trauma-Informed Care Summit, scheduled for May 19 and 20, 2020.
The purpose of the Summit is to move our systems beyond trauma informed to trauma competent with specific areas of focus identified below. Additionally, the Summit will equip participants with the knowledge and tools they need to facilitate resiliency in all children, youth and adults with whom they interact.
Workshops should focus on supporting and building resilience through interactive, experiential and skill-building exercises and discussions. Participants will also learn how to support themselves and others to be well, get well and stay well.
All proposals should reflect and provide culturally appropriate trauma-informed tools, interventions and information on access to services.

If you are submitting a proposal, please note the following important information:
- Submission Deadline: FEBRUARY 14, 2020
- Announcement of Workshop Presenters selected is FEBRUARY 28, 2020
- Presenters must submit workshop materials no later than APRIL 10, 2020
- All proposals must be submitted electronically, using this template.
- Seven presentations will be selected for each day.
- Each selected presentation may be offered twice on an assigned day.
- All sessions will be 75 minutes in length (1 Hour 15 minutes).
- Presenters selected must be available to present the workshop twice in one day (1:15–2:30pm and 2:45–4:00pm), in the event a workshop's popularity warrants being repeated.
Successful submissions should be informed by theory, research / evaluation, or practice; reflect innovative ideas and programming; stimulate and engage audience discussion, experiential learning, and skill applicability; and present best-practice implementation. Sessions should be relevant to all levels of learners included in the target audience.
