ETSI's 5th Hackathon (Nov 2026, hybrid event)

We are very excited to announce our 5th ETSI hackathon in November 2026 to continue the development of use-cases for our PETSIRD standard. This event will be a 2 full-day event (9am-5pm each day). We plan to have the event around the IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD conference (Nov. 7-14, 2026). The in-person event's physical location will be in Granada, Spain, and its final venue location will be determined by the final selected date of the event.

This year we hope to have active engagement with PET scanner manufacturers from academia and industry. We will focus on (i) converters for data from PET scanner commercial and prototype systems; (ii) developing test software for data from standard acquisitions; (iii) automated testing of validity of PETSIRD files, and (iv) discussion on acquisition protocols for test data. Past participants interested in other use-cases are always welcomed and highly encouraged to participate. We hope for a strong participation from local institutions.

In this survey, we ask you to state your interest in participating and your preferred 2-day period during which to schedule this hybrid hackathon event. At the moment, there are few candidate date options to consider either before or after the MIC portion of the 2026 IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD conference.
