Walk at Work Day has been celebrated in Sedgwick County on the third Wednesday in May since 2006.  This year the Health & Wellness Coalition of Wichita, along with multiple partner organizations*, plan to continue the tradition.  Join us on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 as we encourage employees to boost their energy with a walk!

On May 13th, you will receive a link to report the number of employees that walked thanks to your promotion of walking on May 15th.  Because the 15th might be busy day at your worksite or the weather could be bad that day, feel free to schedule your walk any day that week.  To be eligible to win a Walk at Work trophy, numbers need to be submitted by 5pm on Monday, May 20th.  Results of the 2019 Walk at Work day will be shared on June 12th in the monthly Health & Wellness Coalition newsletter highlighting the importance of walking at work.  The top participating worksite (based on the % of employees that walked on May 16th) will be featured in the newsletter.
