It is quite misleading to highlight the 80% figure as the key indicator on its own of carvacrol content without placing it in the context of the level to which the oregano oil is diluted. The 80% figure is only meaningful for the oregano oil component of the product and bears no relevance to the olive oil that is used as a diluting agent.
