The AFS Talent Development Division recognizes an individual AFS member whose work, commitment, and leadership of people initiatives have had a profound impact within an organization, across the metalcasting industry, or throughout the AFS network.

Examples of impact may include, but are not limited to:

  • Building workforce pipelines through recruiting, onboarding, apprenticeships, internships, or partnerships.
  • Strengthening technical, leadership, or professional skills through learning, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Using technology or new approaches to improve learning, access, knowledge transfer, or performance.
  • Improving engagement, belonging, satisfaction, retention, succession, or organizational culture.
  • Advancing talent development through AFS service, industry collaboration, or practices adopted by others.
  • Creating any other sustained people-focused change that benefits an organization or the metalcasting community.
These are examples—not separate criteria. A nomination may focus on one area or span several.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

  • Have the organization's basic contact information available.
  • Choose one example that best illustrates the nominee's leadership and impact.
  • Gather any outcomes, feedback, or supporting material you want to cite; estimates and qualitative evidence are acceptable.
