Introduction
As part of our work in developing the Arts and Mental Health Framework, we've developed this survey, to capture the voices of people with an interest in this area of work. You could be working in the community offering creative activities, or be an artist delivering arts activities for mental health. You might be a health professional delivering or referring to creative activity, or you could have lived experience of engaging in arts activities for your mental health.
This survey aims to capture information about who is working in this sector, where and how they work, and what could support them in this work. It will help us to create a picture of the range of stakeholders, understand where they work and what they need, and create a framework which reflects a shared vision of what we collectively want.
It will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
The deadline for responding is 10 October 2026.
Terminology use – we recognise that within this survey there will be a range of terms used to describe mental health, creative activities and arts and mental health. We recognise that terminology has different meanings for different people and we invite you to share your terminology with us if the terms within this survey do not meet yours.
All data collected will be aggregated into the framework, all participants will be anonymous, and individual responses will be held confidentially by Creative Scotland. For information on how Creative Scotland processes your personal information, please read Creative Scotland’s Privacy Policy.
