The objective of the awards is to help local businesses and organizations enhance their performance while introducing them to business assessment and business excellence models.

How to Nominate
Anyone can nominate a business or individual for a Surrey & White Rock Business Excellence Award, and self-nominations are accepted. A Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade membership is not required; however, the business must hold a Surrey or White Rock business license.
Criteria
• Category 7: Business must have been in operation for a minimum of 6 months and no longer than three years. Businesses nominated in this category must be new businesses and may not be previously operating anywhere. (i.e. no franchises, no re-purchased businesses, no recent locations).
• The business premises must be located within Surrey/White Rock and have a current Surrey/White Rock business license.
• Previous winners in a particular category are ineligible for three years following the year they won.

• A business/organization may only be represented in one category.
• Applications must be completed to be accepted, including a letter of financial health and a business license.
• Elected officials and candidates are not eligible to apply.
* A Corporate Social Responsibility Award will also be presented at the November 5 Awards evening, selected from the Finalists from Categories 1-4 and Category 7.
