RREMS Student Code of Conduct
ATTENDANCE
*Regular attendance by the student at the research activities outlined in his or her application is mandatory.
*Attendance of 5 days per week for 8 consecutive weeks is required.
STIPEND PAYMENTS/TRAVEL & HOUSING
*All stipend payments will be released to the student in installments from the AAP as his/her mentor verifies the work is being completed, with final payment not being released until the paper and abstract are successfully submitted via the AAP Call for Abstracts.
*Funds to cover housing and meals, and funds and arrangements for travel to and from the RREMS research sponsor site are the sole responsibility of the student.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
*The student agrees to submit an abstract in the AAP Scientific Paper Presentation, Medical Student Category.
*The student agrees to present his or her research findings as a Scientific Paper Presentation at Physiatry '26, Feb. 17 - 21. The AAP rules for presentations must be followed and can be found on the AAP website.
*The student agrees to acknowledge funding on all publications and presentations by using the following phrase: “This study was funded by the Rehabilitation Research Experience for Medical Students (RREMS) Program.”
*The abstract will be submitted to the student's mentor for approval before final submission.
AAP MEETING
*The student agrees to register for, attend, and present his or her research findings at Physiatry '26, the AAP Annual Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Feb. 17 - 21, 2026 in Puerto Rico.
*The student will be responsible for submitting registration materials via the AAP website, www.physiatry.org.
*Travel arrangements to and from the AAP Meeting are the responsibility of the student but funds from the sponsor institution should be used. The student must make arrangements for reimbursement or direct payment through the Chairperson at the sponsor site.
