FIRST Summer Preview Program Application
Program Dates: July 9 – July 27
This is your chance to take your first Clemson University course. A top grade in this class can jump start a high GPR as you begin your degree program. The course will satisfy a General Education requirement, which is necessary for graduation and will save you from taking a course later. Consider this boot camp for freshman year. You will experience college life and the responsibilities that come with it. If you’re looking to have a good time and boost your college success, this program is for you!
The FIRST Summer Preview Program has a limited number of spaces and students are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. You can expect notification of your placement in early June. Upon acceptance, you will receive detailed information to prepare you for your experience.
The FIRST Summer Preview is open only to students who are attending Clemson University in the fall 2012. It is required that you complete the Clemson University Mathematics Placement Test at mthsc.clemson.edu/CMPT before you can be accepted to the FIRST Summer Preview. Although your acceptance is not based on ability, the test determines your Clemson math placement and will affect your academic future. After completing the CMPT, complete the FIRST Summer Program Application at clemson.edu/first. Click on the Summer Preview 2012 tab to find the application. Participants are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
