Moving Mountains for Multiple Myeloma (MM4MM) Trek Program:
The 2019 MM4MM Trek series features three challenging treks with 14-20 hikers on each MM4MM team. Team members for the MM4MM Trek Program are hand-selected based on their connection to multiple myeloma and their commitment in maximizing fundraising.  Fundraising ranges from $2,500 to $10,000 minimum per person depending on trip.

Mount Washington, The White Mountains, New Hampshire
June 28 - 30, 2019

Mount Washington is the highest peak in the northeastern United States and the most prominent peak east of the Mississippi at 6,288 feet above sea level. Known for its extreme weather and popularity in the hiking world, this is a very exclusive opportunity to climb as a team with the MMRF.

If you are a moderate to experienced hiker looking for an outstanding summer adventure in the name of cancer research, this is absolutely the hike for you! One our first day we will gain over 4,000 feet in elevation to reach this famous peak, before climbing down lower to spend the night in the picturesque Lakes of the Clouds hut. The next morning will find you on the winding ascent down, where you can celebrate your epic hike!

Iceland Fire + Ice Trek

The trek’s 3 days of challenging and spectacular hiking includes an assortment of geologic marvels, including volcanoes, glaciers, gorges, lava beds, waterfalls, mountains. Geothermal activity in the form of steam and green and yellow sulfur coming from the rocks we pass coupled with the topography make this mountainous hike otherworldly.

Hikers will be selected to take part in this two and a half day overland trek through and over Iceland's incredible landscape. Expect 7-8 hours of rigorous hiking, with our end of day destination being mountain huts situated in remote, incredible settings. This untouched land offers an other-worldly feel - one moment you will be traversing a lava field only to find yourself sleeping in a mountain hut sandwiched between two glaciers that same night!

Patagonia Trek

*Patagonia Trek participants have the opportunity to have their airfare (up to $2,000, economy class) covered if they raise $20,000 or more.


In 2019, MM4MM adds a bucket list trek to Patagonia, demonstrating that we will go to the ends of the Earth to find a cure for myeloma! Though it technically lies in both Argentina and Chile, Patagonia is a place of its own - a land of glaciers, expansive lakes, and awesome steppes and peaks so jagged and immense they pause the mind and stir the heart.

We will travel to the remote Patagonia. Hiking on wide, wind-swept, and awe-inspiring trails, we will come to know the magic of this incredible place as we trek hut to hut. We will traverse through a truly wonderland of mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, glaciers, and wildlife.  Overall, we will cover more than 40 miles on this trek.
