Dear Visit Colorado Springs Partner,

Recognizing the hard work and dedication of your employees and colleagues is a great way to improve morale and encourage camaraderie within the tourism industry. You have an opportunity to do just that at no cost and very little time investment. Please take a few moments to think about the people you know who go above and beyond their normal duties to keep Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region top of mind as a great travel destination and are deserving of praise and recognition in a public setting.

I invite you to review the Tourism Star Awards categories below and nominate an employee in one of the categories. Nominations are due Friday, September 30, 2022, and finalists will be announced to the nominators on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. The winners will be announced Thursday, October 13th, during the 2022 Tourism Star Awards Celebration presented by Southwest Airlines at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium. Event registration information can be found at the end of this application.

CATEGORY 1: Tourism Leadership Award (Open to all Partner categories)

This award goes to any member of the industry who leads their team with strength, integrity, compassion and encourages excellence by example.
CATEGORY 2: Hospitality Customer Service Award (Lodging Partners only)

This award goes to any member of the lodging industry in a management or non-management position who goes above and beyond their job duties to enhance the guest experience.
CATEGORY 3: Tourism Customer Service Award (Non-lodging Partners only)

This award goes to any member of the tourism industry (non-lodging) in a management or non-management position who goes above and beyond standard service levels to enhance the customer experience.
CATEGORY 4: Community Outreach Award (Open to all Partner categories)

This award goes to any member of the tourism industry in a management or non-management position who serves our community through volunteer activities outside of their work environment.
CATEGORY 5: Rising Tourism Star Award (Open to all Partner categories)

This award goes to any member who has been in the industry for less than 5 years and has shown leadership, commitment and passion for the local tourism industry
